Is global warming is the greatest danger for mankind?

The map below (which requires Flash to work) shows the "national vote" on this question. Bear in mind that it only counts those votes that can be geographically located, either by IP address or by the voter having told us what country he/she represents during registration. Neither method is 100% reliable, so take country votes with even more healthy skepticism than everything else.

question:

Do you believe global warming is currently the greatest danger facing mankind?

Increasing global temperature is expected to cause sea levels to rise, an increase in the intensity of extreme weather events, and significant changes to the amount and pattern of precipitation, likely including an expanse of the subtropical desert regions.

Scientific consensus has identified carbon dioxide as the dominant greenhouse gas forcing. Most scientists agree that the increase in atmospheric greenhouse gases due to human activity caused most of the warming observed since the start of the industrial era, and that the observed warming cannot be satisfactorily explained by natural causes alone.
